Assistance Scheme
2020
Scheme for Assistance to Logistic Park
This scheme's operative period has ended.
The notified five-year window closed on 6 August 2025. The Integrated Logistics Policy 2021 is the broader successor on this shelf.
Issued under Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020, this is the narrower of the two logistics schemes on this shelf — a single capital subsidy for park developers, where the 2021 Integrated Logistics Policy that followed it spans ten facility types and eight incentives. It remains the governing document for claims made during its operative window.

The summary
5 chapters
What qualifies as a logistic park
A park developed in a minimum area of 20 hectares, providing infrastructure for logistics services including:
- Cargo aggregation and segregation, and distribution.
- Inter-modal transfer of material and containers.
- Open and closed storage, and ambient condition storage for the transit period.
- Custom bonded warehouse and container freight station.
- Material handling equipment, and business and commercial facilities as required for efficient movement and distribution of semi-finished or finished products.
What counts as eligible investment
Capital investment made to create the logistics and infrastructure facilities of the park. The listed facilities are indicative — the SLEC may approve additions based on the needs of the location.
- Compound wall, internal roads and administrative building.
- Canteen facilities.
- Power distribution lines and communication facilities.
- Water distribution lines and augmentation facilities.
- Storm water drains, sewage lines and treatment facility, and drainage lines.
- Common parking for vehicles.
Quantum of assistance
- Financial assistance at 25% of eligible fixed capital investment, excluding land cost and transport vehicles, to a maximum of ₹15 crore.
- 100% reimbursement of stamp duty paid on purchase of land required for the project as approved by the SLEC — released only after the total required land is purchased and at least 10% of the infrastructure completed.
- State and central assistance together must not exceed 60% of project cost; state assistance is reduced to the extent it would be.
- Reimbursement is proportionate to expenditure incurred, and 15% of the sanctioned assistance is released only after the park is complete.
What does not count
- Purchase of land and land development.
- Goodwill fees, commissioning fees and royalty.
- Preliminary and pre-operative expenses, and capitalized interest.
- Transportation equipment and vehicles.
- Technical and consultant fees, and working capital.
- Anything else the State Level Empowered Committee specifies as non-eligible.
Procedure and completion
- Register the proposed logistic park with the Industries Commissionerate first — a project already under execution before registration is not eligible for any assistance.
- After taking 100% possession of the purchased land, apply with a Detailed Project Report and approved layout plan to obtain sanction of financial assistance.
- The park must be completed within 3 years of the approval letter from the Industries Commissioner; the SLEC may grant up to 1 further year on merit.
